Hot air balloons -> Pyramids

Imagining that they used Hot air balloons to assist in building the pyramids.

I agree with those that think that some of the Ancient world had contact with each other before Columbus. I think it's just as interesting that they would build such similar structures and develop such similar cultures without contact. That would imply an almost instinctual desire to build large stone structures almost like how bee's or termites build things. Pyramids that don't seem to serve any kind of practical purpose aren't a likely candidate for something all cultures would eventually develop - like say the wheel or a knife or a sword or house.

It would really only take one person to inspire these types of monoliths. It doesn't mean that either culture had trans-oceanic boats or air-ships - but that a single person or a different group did and shared the information. The south american societies said that a white man with a beard came on a medal serpent and taught them about these types of things - astronomy, mathematics, agriculture etc. Is that so impossible? They learned this somehow and maybe how they say they learned it is true?

The 'alternate history' version says basically that Atlantis was real and after/ before it sank some of them survived and spread out and taught other cultures what they knew and then left. It seems like a society that could build a pyramid could also build a boat that could cross the ocean. It seems that a society that could create a calendar so accurately could navigate the oceans too. They were advanced enough to leave behind artifacts that we still have trouble understanding today. I think it's important to accept that we don't have a full understanding of history quite yet and to keep an open mind. We already know that Columbus wasn't the first to 'find' America - the Vikings did. - White guys with beards. That wasn't even mentioned when I was in school so it goes to show that history is being updated as we learn more.

Sky lanterns were thought to be invented around 200 BC/ CE and it's not hard to imagine imagining building them bigger.

"There is also some speculation, from a demonstration directed by British modern hot air balloonist Julian Nott during the late 1970s[6] and again in 2003,[7] that hot air balloons could have been used as an aid for designing the famous Nazca ground figures and lines,[6] which were created by the Nazca culture of Peru between 400 and 650 AD" - Wikipedia

Whether maned flight was possible or it was just via boats - i think it's probable that the ancient cultures had contact with each other  - at least for a time.

Even if all of this stuff is just conjecture or a fantasy it's interesting to research.

The Amazing Connections Between the Inca and Egyptian Cultures
"The ancient Egyptians (in Africa) and the ancient pre-Incas/Incas (in South America) evolved on opposite sides of the globe and were never in contact.
Yet, both cultures mysteriously possessed the same strikingly identical body of ancient art, architecture, symbolism, mythology and religion.
The Victorian era scholars, faced with this enigma, concluded that both cultures must have been children of the same Golden Age parent civilization, “Atlantis.”
Today, Egyptian/Inca parallels are not only being ignored by American and Western scholars, they’re being suppressed.
Many baffling and unsolved similarities link the ancient Egyptians and the ancient pre-Incas/Incas ― even though both cultures evolved on opposite sides of the planet, separated by oceans” Read MoreThere are some similarities with ancient Thailand as well, all dating to 10,500 B.C.
