Mon Salai/ Love's Prison

"If liberty is dear to you may you never discover that my face is love's prison"

His face is the "prison of love" that is liberated when it's combined with his lover: Salai.

  • MONA LISA = MON SALAI (My Salai)
  • MONA LISA = SALINO (Another name for Salai)
  • Salai's name was used more than any other in Leonardo's thousands of pages of journals
  • They were together for over 20 Years
  • Salai inherited a vineyard and the MONA LISA from Leonardo da Vinci (Possibly but it was soon sold)

The Mona Lisa is the medium that enables this to happen. What happens? Each original image is a "Parent Image" and when they are combined they create a third "Daughter" image.

(My book's going to change titles, again)

“The lover is moved by the beloved object as the senses are by sensual objects; and they unite and become one and the same thing. The work is the first thing born of this union; if the thing loved is base the lover becomes base.” – Leonardo da Vinci

Crazy Idea? They didn't superimpose faces 500 years ago?

Truth – The SunFalsehood – A maskInnocenceMalignityFire destroys falsehood – that is sophistry – and restores truth, driving out darkness.Fire may be represented as the destroyed of all sophistry and as the image and demonstration of truth: because it is light and drives out darkness wich conceals all essence or subtle things..TruthFire destroys all sophistry – that is deceit – and maintains truth alone – that is, gold. Truth at last cannot be hidden. Dissimulation is of no avail. Dissimulation is to no purpose before so great a judge.Falsehood puts on a mask. Nothing is hidden under the sun. Fire is to represent truth because it destroys all sophistry and here lies: and the mask is for lying and falsehood which conceal truth.” – Leonardo da Vinci.

A page out of journals & Accompanying Quote by Leonardo Da Vinci

Notice the theme of three faces being superimposed over each other?

This shows that da Vinci had considered this idea. There are journal entries detailing the process too. My biggest question has been: How? How did he do this? How could you see the faces being combined without a computer? .... I figured that out too, but you gotta wait for the book! ;-)

Have you seen those machines that takes a picture of you, and your partner - and then combines them together to show what your baby would look like?

Sometimes two men want a baby, but they can't. But they can paint them, especially if you're the most inventive and revolutionary painter that has ever been. But they can't let anyone know or they would be burned at the stake. But you can hide your legacy in what would become the worlds most famous work of art.

Someone is bound to figure it out - eventually...->
