Scientists in Boston say they've come up with the beginnings of a noninvasive diagnostic test - one that spots abnormal brain waves that suggest increased risk for the debilitating neurological disorder.
Such a test - safe, inexpensive, and easy to perform - could make it possible for at-risk kids to get help right away rather than having to wait until months or years later, which is now the case with the behavioral tests now used.
In a recent study, the experimental test identified nine-month-olds at increased risk for autism with 80 percent accuracy, according to a written statement released by Children's Hospital Boston. People used to have to develop film to see pictures they took. They didn't' even know what the picture looked like until sometimes days later. Today we can see the picture we take seconds after we take it, delete it, or send it wire-lessly around the world.
I thankfully got into photography after this transition was already made and I learned photography at a much faster pace. You get better at taking pictures.. by taking.. pictures. So with Digital Cameras you can take literally thousands of pictures and see them, and improve in a much shorter time than you could when only film was available. Not only that but what I lack in skill with the camera I can make up for with a computer - touching it up, improving the colors and contrast, and even adding and taking away parts of the picture.

I'm re-re-fining the "Collectors Edition" of my book: Discovering Da Vinci's Daughter.
Ever since I 'finished' it in 2007 there have been some additional revisions I wanted to make. Every time i've read it i've really liked it more and more but there are still some parts that bug me. Some errors, some repetitiveness, some sentences that don't make sense.
The reason(s) I haven't updated it sooner was because I was planning on re-writing the entire book mostly from scratch. So why spend the time to improve a book that was going to be a rough draft?
After a few months turned into a few years without anything available for sale on my site and some increase in interest -I decided to just put the old version for sale. Then at least people who wanted to could buy the book and I could make some income while I finished the re-write.
Its been a couple weeks now and i've sold two books! But since my book is self published and printed to order - the …

Sabotage
I'm starting to realize that there is a glaring misconception that I have been ignoring.
You know how people seem to think that we should do the things that scare us? To face our fears and practice until we get perfect?
Well, what if that is just really - a total waste of time? Its quite obvious that people in the world are adept and totally willing to sabotage themselves and do things that make no sense what so ever. You see it on American Idol all the time. People who genuinely and completely think they have what it takes to become the next and greatest singer in the country. But they are very bad and have absolutely NO chance.
When they leave they tell themselves - "Well its' those judges they dont know what they are saying!" Or "I'm going to go home and practice everyday and come back next year, then i'll make it!"
They could get better, they could spend a LOT of time, all their time working at it, but .. they will never be able to get to a poin…

Lighting Misses twice...
Several years ago I almost had a brush with devastating success. I went online and saw a headline story that announced a new discovery about a mirroring technique that reveals hidden images in Leonardo da Vinc's last supper. One hidden image was of a baby.
OMG!!!!! Finally! Someone went to my site and released what I found, I knew it would be headline news! Maybe Oprah finally got my email, was it Ellen? Was it one of the dozens of emails I sent out to news papers? Was it the packets with cds and pictures and book samples that I sent to Times - National Geographic? The Discovery Channel? Maybe the $400 we spent on a professionally released and written press releases were picked up????!!
Then I clicked on it.....
-Stunned silence-. The article was not about me, or my book. But it WAS about my discovery and what already was IN my book, and what had been on my web site for over a year PREVIOUSLY.
What? How could this be? That's suppose to be me!
But wait, what's this? A new …

Two days ago I checked my web site and for some reason the traffic went up 1000xs from it's average 40hits a day to over 4000. I was like, wtf is going on?! I didn't know why, I thought "my day" had finally come and someone posted an new article about me/ my book/ or my discoveries. I checked where the traffic was coming from and it wasn't from anything about me, it was about someone else releasing the same theory that I have had on my web site and in my book for 5 years.
